What is Acceptable/unacceptable?
What is right/wrong?
What is Good/bad?
All these things are relative to one's life...
But in case of Truth/lie
Truth is truth.
Lie is a lie.
Lies are always not bad. Some lies are malicious & some are not.
But here again relative thing comes into picture when we are judging rationality.

Some lies which are mentioned below are very common.
1) You don’t really like what your neighbour is wearing, but you still say it’s nice.
2) An acquaintance might say something you don’t agree with, but you nod and say “how true!”
3) Your boss asks you for the long overdue assignment and you say you’re just mailing it across, when you’re actually just starting on it.
Why can’t we just be honest and say it like it is?
I’ve debated this thought with myself.
It is just that we humans cant accept criticism.
Sometimes lying can be the only solution in a tricky situation.
Where as the truth says, “Here I am! Look at me! Now that you know, what are you going to do about it?”
Truth places the information as it is..And maybe that’s why we tend to shy away from the truth. Once you have the information, you’re obligated to do something with it. Make a decision. Choose a side. Confront a wrong.
When our intention is to do something wrong, we hide the information or put a wrong information. so that nobody questions our actions.
This is usually the case in government affairs. Statements are almost always lies. Statements made by them are deliberate, contrived & dishonest so as to hide actual facts.
Our national motto “Satyamev Jayate” is written on each currency note of India, but ironically it is the basic cause for most of the lies
